The first plan aimed to connect Yee On (Icefire Line station) to Heathrow (Kansai Light Rail station). However, since the Icefire Line had not yet opened, YNT was required to seek an alternative route. The second proposal revised the starting point from Drayton (Metropolis Line and Joban Light Rail station) to Heathrow, which proved to be a more practical solution. Ultimately, the Cornflower Line’s development shifted toward the Central South area, with plans for a future connection to South Beach (North South Line). The first phase of the project includes eight stations, extending from Erou to Arceline.

The Yuki APM was originally planned as a smaller project of YNT, intended to provide a short break from the ongoing Cornflower Line construction. Its initial plan was straightforward — to link Sunshine Centre (SKT 214 bus stop) with Yam Lai (formerly known as Hayabusa), which currently has no interchange connections. The proposed route passed through Metropolis Station, a major interchange serving the Solitare Line, Fuka–Metropolis Rapid Transit System, Metropolis Line, Azure Line, Tohoku Shinkansen (Hayabusa, Asama), and the Southern Line. The original design included only three stations along the route.
