The Rigel Monopoly Theory, or jokingly refered as Joban Takeover Plan, is a theory created in late 2024/early 2025 by the Jobanese media. It consists of a future in which Rigel has control over every railway in the Joban District and thus eliminated the market rivarly.
It is theorised that Rigel had made pacts in Mid 24 with Grundorf Metro to transform the South-Eastern Corporation into their subsidiary, like they've done with San Kong Transport. Many meetings have also been held with some ministers of the Joban Government, which media expects to be for the same reason. Orchidlink believes in this idea and has publicly stated that "if Rigel starts to slowly take command of the District, they will take all their forces to sue them and stabilise the rivarlies again". If something like this actually becomes reality, Rigel would have absolute control over the ticket price and the revenues, which could potentially make tickets prices skyrocket. They could also limit the Quartz supply: it is theorised that rigel has build some secret quartz vaults so that, in the future, they could tax passengers and store the quartz safely for their expansions.
Nevertheless, this remains an unconfirmed theory as there are no official fonts from neither the company nor the government.
